a slow death for Saab →
KB sent this link along to me today — I heard about GM’s plan to spin off Saab (which would likely kill it, leaving it tiny to compete against a room of Goliaths) last week and it did indeed make me a little sad. That cool, weird shape of the 900 will stick out as a notable when looking at the long view of car history. Plus, of course, Coupland’s famous Generation X protagonists...

Past portends present, extrapolated
Spent today pushing around electoral data regarding New Jersey, largely attempting to see how well the preceding presidential election data predicts postdicts future to make predictions about how well Corzine will do.
